The Enlightenment didn't have enough storytelling?

What my point IS is that even though often religions act as a social control mechanism strangling dissent within a community and helping the rich keep the poor from stealing their stuff, the institutions continue to evolve despite the recalcitrance of the elderly leaders of all of these creeds and they should be given a chance to change... except for Scientology ;-D

There should always be room in human life for spirituality. Even if it is just a higher appreciation you carry while relaxing over a cup of coffee, fishing, or making love.
