Example?

I am bored at a lecture, the major points have been anticipated, the speaker is not gifted or insightful, I have completed ten sets of ten ten-second-duration kegel exercises (for prostate manageability into being elderly) and counted all of the ceiling tiles and wrested something free that was stuck between my teeth with my tongue, and so I begin to meditate with my eyes open (different then just drifting off with techniques of mindfulness). RSI steps into the field and stands before the table where the three are wearing identical skull masks to greet him because it is Halloween several years ago.

IÜ: "Question?"

RSI: "I wonder what my true love is doing at this moment..."

The Lady: (as the scene changes to visualization) "Perhaps she is walking on the beach, a shell catches her attention and as she picks it up to hold in her hand she sees a thousand intricate delicate lines carved by the movements of the ocean

Perhaps she is wandering through a luxurious baroque villa, the trees bowing in the wind outside the blown-glass windows as she passes by the antique side chair, clock, and paintings as her barefoot footfalls echo against the soft wood floor (the scene changes)

Or perhaps she is performing open heart surgery!" (scene changes to her in scrubs and facemask, covered in blood, shouting "Live Damn You! LIVE!").

Scientist: "Inferential extrapolation would put her now heading home on the subway. A chubby man stands near her on the platform clutching a briefcase, and as she breathes in the recycled air the texture slightly annoys her."

IÜ: (after a pause) "What is her heartbeat like?"

Scientist: "She is waiting. Her heartbeat is strong... and slow."

The Lady (motioning to one of the musicians to begin playing large kettle drum in a heavy, measured regular rhythm): "This."

All at the table close their eyes and listen to the meter. RSI closes his eyes as well and suddenly the body's heartbeat begins to slow down to synch with the pattern flooding through the mind.

The question could have alternatively been "What if I was a dolphin?", "What if there was no currency system in the world?", "What if someone assassinated the vice president tomorrow?", "What if the pope went mad?"- All explored with speed and élan in the past thanks to symbolic facilitation.
