Isn't it rational to be that way?

Behavioral science would seem to suggest that being bothered by problems (or seeing the downside of reality) as a rational person has nothing to do with being successful in a relationship. The ability to see negative outcomes or dangers to a couple's behavior also brings with it more unwarranted suspicions or discouragement that happy-go-lucky people falling into traps outweigh in the case of bad consequences with sunshine and smiley faces. Similarly conservatives are rated "more sane" than liberals by studies for being happily oblivious to inherent prejudice, suffering, or most other social problems, and while this leads populations down the road to cataclysm, it will be a very positive cataclysm, since America is the greatest nation in the world and rarely does anything wrong. Who would question that?
