Why those countries?

I think it's because upon creation I didn't personally know any scientists from those countries. Analyzing the structure it seemed years ago I was unwittingly trying to reflect all dichotomies possible: the collective and the individual, the foreign and the familiar, the male and the female, the irreverent and the sacred, the democratic and despotic, etc.
